    I feel it all begins with how you defines the success or goal. A company who claims implemented ERP successfully may mean to another as a failed project. A clear picture of the goal is a must.
    As most Organizations which is already having a ERP system in place or not may have 30% or more Customization which has to be available from day one. Generally ERP projects, in an attempt to cut down the period and cost will under estimate this factor.

    To add to the point, most projects will fail in determining the scope of the project considering the growth of the Organization with respect to the years of usage under plan.

    To Conclude, a good System Analyst will determine the true success of ERP Project .
